About Me

Hey there! My name is Maceo Susi, and I am a wildlife photographer, filmmaker, biologist, and steward of the environment.

How It Started

How It
Started

Starting at a young age, I was frequently lost in animal films and encyclopedias, spending most of my days soaking information into my little brain.

Growing up in Massachusetts, I had access to a lot of nature, from rocky intertidal zones to ponds and forests full of animals. I found myself out in nature often, searching for as many animals as I could find.

In my early teens, I grew more and more involved with the environment and nature through field work. As the quarantining of 2020 set in, I began running my own data collection operation to continue marine invasive species abundance surveys utilized by Coastal Zone Management.

My passion for wildlife photography was ignited during this quarantine through an encounter with snakes, where I took a few photos as I was observing them close up.

I was blown away by the beauty in their details, and quickly the beauty in many animals local to my area. This is how I became the person I am today.
